Edwards Recycling provides a wide variety of resource and waste management services to businesses in and around London specialising in the collection and recycling of waste materials and provision of storage and compaction equipment.

We aim to be an inclusive company where employees are treated fairly and on an equal basis. We are committed to the elimination of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, sex reassignment, disability, ethnic and national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, social status, status of pregnancy, religion or belief, trade union activity and age. We will implement best practice, and regularly monitor how we achieve the commitments of this Policy, including areas such as recruitment selection and progression, training and development, terms and conditions of employment, disciplinary, harassment and grievance procedures.

Regarding employment of staff, equal opportunities mean ensuring that there is equal access to all employment opportunities and to all employment related activities such as training and staff development within the company. Selection of new staff will be based on ability to do the job in question.

Any complaints regarding unfair treatment will be fairly investigated without victimisation. This Policy will be communicated to all employees and implemented at all levels and within the company.

The company’s Directors have the overall responsibility for the implementation and compliance with this Policy and it is the responsibility of each individual Manager, at all levels, to ensure the policy is effectively implemented. It is the responsibility of every employee to uphold and adhere to this policy.

This Policy will be regularly reviewed to ensure continuing relevance and effectiveness.
